Dr. Fakhoury uses the state-of-the-art E4D 3D system to design and mill high-quality durable all-porcelain crowns in-office. This means no messy impression material and no temporary crown.
When a tooth is in need of repair and there is little good tooth left, or if the tooth has deep cracks or has a root canal, you may need a crown. A crown (sometimes called a Cap) is a restoration that covers the portion of the tooth above the gums. A crown may be recommended to help protect the tooth from further breakdown, keep cracks from spreading, or reshape the tooth for cosmetic reasons. Our most popular material is the all-porcelain crown that we design and fabricate in one day.
E4D restorations can be completed in one visit. You walk out with a strong, aesthetic-looking permanent porcelain crown right away; no temporaries and no second appointment.
Natural-looking. The porcelain used for E4D restorations has the same kind of translucency as natural teeth. Ceramic blocks come in many shades for precise color matching.
Strong and durable. E4D porcelain is strong and lasting, even for back teeth. Studies show they are twice as strong as metal-filled crowns. E4D crowns are milled out of a single block of body-friendly porcelain and don’t require any core material, including metal.
Natural-acting. Because E4D restorations are milled out from a single block of porcelain, they are less prone to cracks and flaws. The porcelain also expands in the same way that teeth do.
Accurate matching. Being able to digitally scan, design, mill and modify the E4D restoration chairside allows Dr.Fakhoury to create accurately matching and properly positioned crowns.
